A Sustainable Future

OUTLOOK Events are geared up to become one of a few communications agencies who are compliant with the sustainability standard BS8901, the first industry specific sustainability event management system.

Guided by the BSI standard which is a ‘Specification for a sustainability management system for sustainable events’ we plan to implement a way of working, building on our existing sustainable practices, to create a management system for each event which considers not only environmental impacts but economical and social impacts too – all 3 issues at the fore front of society today.

By the end of 2010, it is our aim to be BS8901 self certified and we are currently working with carefully selected clients to ensure we become an industry leader in sustainable event management.

What is BS8901?

Wine and dine:  Near the end of a bottle of wine but don't fancy finishing it? Pour into an ice cube tray and put it in the freezer (red or white wine is fine). Then add a cube or two when you next cook pasta sauce, gravy, soup, risotto etc for a bit of extra flavour.

BS 8901 is the new British Standard which has been developed specifically for the events industry with a purpose of helping the industry to operate in a more sustainable manner.
